Terradillos de Los Templarios

The last two days have been interesting, the Meseta is now flat, and I mean really flat, the trails are long and straight and make for some mental challenges, there are times when I remember the words of our first host, she said that you will have days when you just have to put one foot in front of the other and there have been some of those times.

That being said it continues to be interesting, truly a United Nations of sorts in terms of the people.  My last night was in an Albergue in a town called Carrion de les Condes, this was run by a group of nuns.  They were delightful, there was an organized sing along with some beautiful voices and songs from a variety of countries.  The most touching moment was when a Korean gentlemen broke into a song that celebrated his country, there were several other Koreans who joined in.  At the end he spoke in Korean and one of the girls translated his comments to say that for that day it was Thanksgiving in his home country and that we were all part of his family out here on the Camino, it was a very touching moment and at the end of the songs there were not many dry eyes in the room.

Today was another early start by the light of the full moon, a long 12km run with nothing around, overall a 26km day.  I am now in a lovely Albergue, was here by 12:30 or so, mice rooms, I m in a four bed unit wi it's own bathroom, feels likely practically five star...

There is no wifi at this particular stop so I have attached only a few pictures.

Until next time

Flat, very flat
Carrion de les Condes

More long and flat
